The Customer Sale Order Settings are only applicable for the importing of Sale Orders, not against the manual order entry of orders. When entering an order as a customer, once the product code and quantity has been entered for the search, the system will then return all the available stock, including expired stock and those in other product statuses (such as Quarantine). The stock that has expired or is in any other status will be highlighted in RED on the page.
Stock that is in any other status WILL NOT be available for selection
Stock that is expired, WILL be available for selection.
To manage this process within the system, you can use the Customer Stock Report to manage expired or aged stock and move these to alternate statuses, which will not allow stock to be available for selection during manual order entry.
For all imported orders (parsers, API etc, the system will apply the Customer Sale Order Setting and reject the orders automatically.
